Pope Francis arrives at Bangkok Airport after an eleven-hour flight from Rome.

Pope Francis sets off on his Apostolic Journey to Thailand and Japan aboard the papal plane on Tuesday evening.

Fr Renzo De Luca, SJ will be a special interpreter for Pope Francis during his Apostolic Journey to Japan on 23-26 November. Fr Renzo has a friendly relationship with the Pope for their time together in Argentina.

In a video message sent on Monday, Pope Francis urges the people of Japan to protect all life - symbolized there by cherry blossoms - and to pray for his 23-26 November visit.
