Pope Francis was greeted by representatives from the Royal Thai Government as well as religious leaders

Pope Francis arrives at Bangkok Airport after an eleven-hour flight from Rome.

Pope Francis sets off on his Apostolic Journey to Thailand and Japan aboard the papal plane on Tuesday evening.

Fr Renzo De Luca, SJ will be a special interpreter for Pope Francis during his Apostolic Journey to Japan on 23-26 November. Fr Renzo has a friendly relationship with the Pope for their time together in Argentina.

The Catholic community in Thailand is putting the finishing touches to their preparation for the historic visit of Pope Francis.
